Aurum

AURUM TRIO, the new piano trio from pianist/composer Rebecca Nash features Danish bassist Henrik Jensen and British drummer Dave Smith.
Rebecca’s compositions are inspired by the true story of the sunken 400-year-old Merchant Royal, still undiscovered off the coast of Cornwall. This ship contains the greatest amount of gold ever to be lost at sea. The music is a reimagining of one diver’s quest to find the treasure.
Listeners are plunged into a dark and gritty world full of mysterious musical storytelling with dense rhythmic complexity, propelling basslines, and ethereal textures all of which invoke the spirit of the ocean seabed.
